Join us at Necronomicon 2014 for our 2nd Annual Talent Show!

 

Our first annual talent show was a hit. We had standing room only so many of you attended to see our fantastic competitors. It's time to gear up for our 2014 show!  Now is the time to start planning your act for our 2nd annual show.

 

If you plan to perform, you can email us your sign up sheet before the convention, or fill one in on site, but it must be received by 5pm Friday along with any sound/music files you want to use. Our sound guys prefer your music either on a flash drive or sent to us via email. We had some delays at the start of this year's show while they had to convert songs from CD to the format they needed.

 

No auditions required to participate!

 

Sign up sheets will be available online prior to the convention to allow you to print out your sheet and have it filled in before you arrive. Link will be posted here when available.

 

Performances should be kept to around 3 minutes to ensure we have enough time for everyone.

1. Must have valid Necronomicon membership

If you are selected as a participant, you must be willing to travel to and attend Necronomicon on the weekend of October 3-5, 2014 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.

1. Types of Talent

Any LEGAL/Family Friendly talent that can be performed on stage with no set up time. No electric instruments, acoustic is permitted if it can be carried on and off with no set up required. Talents such as singing, dancing, joke telling, juggling, skits, etc.

2. Video Submission (this step is now optional)

This step is not required any longer, but if you'd like to you can submit a link to your video audition. The "about me" portion of the video should be no longer than 2 minutes. Your audition should be no more than 3-5 minutes. In your email please include your name, email address, name of act, description of act and if you'll have recorded music you need played.

3. Email us your entry (Registration forms will be available in 2014)

In your email please include your name, email address, name of act, description of act and if you'll have recorded music you need played. If there's an introduction you'd like read before your performance, please include that as well.

4. Accompaniment

You can provide a sound file for our sound guys to play during your performance. They have let us know they prefer to have the file either on a flash drive or via email ahead of time. CDs are NOT preferred as they don't have a CD drive on the system they use during the show.

 

 

1. Fame and Fortune

Okay, not exactly. Our grand prize talent will receive a FREE 3 day membership to Necronomicon 2015 AND their 3 minutes of fame Saturday night during the Masquerade. Yes, that's right. You'll get to show off your winning talent in front of our entire Masquerade audience. After the contestants have shown off their costumes and before the winners are announced, you'll take to the stage and dazzle the crowd just as you dazzled our judges.
